Mystery of Abraham servant
John 6:44 " No one can come to me unless the father who sent me brings him. Then I will raise him up on the last day."
As we said, it previously that Lord Jesus was not different to Moses according to the Book of Matthew 5:18-19 “ Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished." The fact of the relationship between Jesus Christ and Moses is explained in the book of Amos3:3." Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so? That means Moses and Jesus used to hidden the mystery of the kingdom; by using the parabolic language. Matthew 13:10-11"
The disciples came to him and asked, “ Why do you speak to the people in parables? ”
He replied, “ Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them."
We recall that Moses law ruled Israel until Jesus was sentenced to death. But grace time begins the day of Pentecost event, on that day Peter preaches the gospel of freedom which God offers to his people. Pentecost event was for expending the kingdom of Heaven by teaching the gospel of Christ through the Holy spirit who came to reveal the mystery of God.
Therefore, to explain the secret of kingdom, God has a language which is interpretation. John8:43" Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say"
John 5:39 " You study the scriptures carefully. You study them because you think they will give you eternal life. The scriptures you study give witness about me. But you refuse to come to me and receive life. Be careful, without revelation; people are building on the sand, and this house won't resist the storm.. Before to get some explanation of John 6:44 let go read first Genesis 24:2-4
" The best servant in his house was in charge of everything he had. Abraham said to him, put your hand under my thigh. The Lord is the god of heaven and God of the earth. I want you to make a promise with oath in his name." I'm living among the people of canaan. But I want you to promise me that you won't get a wife for my son from their daugthers."
In this context Abraham represent God and Eliezer is Jesus Christ, who was coming to look for Rebecca[church]. Colossians 1:15-17 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together."
By putting his hand on God's thigh, Eliezer was making a promise with an oath to act with fidelity to what God has told him. We understand that Abraham[God] reveals to him[Eliezer=Jesus] the secret which was under his robe.Revelation19:16" On his robe and his tight his has this name written: KING OF KING AND LORD OF LORDS". The vow that Eliezer made by putting his hand in God thigh was accomplished in Ephesians 4:11-13 " So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up . until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." We recall that God used parabolic language to speak for the kingdom. That's why understanding must be made above the mountain, because we are citizen of Zion mountain. By telling Eliezer to not takes for his son Isaac a woman among the cananéen, Abraham was referring him to the elect people. That means people who were with God[Abraham] in eternity before the world was made.Ephesians 1:4 " God chose us to belong to Christ before the world was created." The fulfillment of Abraham's recommendation in the shadow, got the reality into Jesus Christ while he met with the samaritan on Jacob's spring. John 4:7 " When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “ Will you give me a drink?” This reality was accomplish in the shadow by Eliezer while he met with Rebecca. Genesis 24:17 " the servant hurried to meet her. He said, please give me a little water from your jar." We recall that the revelation is the nudity of the father, because seeing the thigh of the father, it is already discovered his nudity. The scriptures say, Abraham lifted is dress to allow Eliezer to put is hand. As Jesus is equal to God according to John10:30" I and the Father are one.” He made the same action with his disciples John 13:4-5 " So he got up from the meal and took off his outer clothes. He wrapped a towel around his waist. After that, he poured water into a large bowl. Then he began to wash his disciples feet. He dried them with to towel that was wrapped around him. but let's go read again John 4:18 " the fact is, you have had five husbands. And the man you have now is not your husband. What you have just said is very true." five husbands represents five books of Moses-law.
Samaritan woman represents people of nations into idolatry. The conversation of Eliezer with Rebeca is parallel with Lord Jesus with Samaritan. But you will notice after the conversation Lord Jesus reveled himself to Samaritan. John 4:24-26 " The woman said, I know that Messiah is coming. [he is called Christ.] When he comes, he will explain everything to us. Then Jesus said, I, the one speaking to you, am he......34-35 Jesus said, my food is to do what my father send me to do. My food is to finish his work.
Remark a thing, Lord Jesus has started to speak of the harvest to the disciples later, after he has finished the work which the father confided him. Yet the harvest is it the time of the harvest of fruits. Revelation21:2-3" I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.
The field was cultivated by the prophets.
